I grew up in inter-city Detroit. I can tell you from first hand experience what it is like to wake up at 2:00 AM and realize that someone has broken into your home. The feeling is absolute terror. The only thing you know is that your Dad has an old Webley .38 caliber revolver and has went down stairs announcing that "he has a gun and is going to blow away the criminal who broke into the house." The bad guy immediately leaves the house and you and your 4 brothers and 3 sisters are safe. I'm sorry, when my wife put up a protest regarding my owning a firearm, I told her to mind her own business. My business was protecting her and my son and if I had to shot someone, so be it.
