I have a different theory. A good manager can get an employee to hate themselves rather than hating you, and do it with grace and tact.

I learned a hard lesson. Don't wait too long to get rid of underperformers. They don't contribute and they ruin the morale of the people who really do contribute.

Excellent remarks friends, I am always impressed about the quality of people who is always around this Social network, if you compare it to Digg, then propeller is attracting a much more mature audience which knows how to debate without falling into the typical flaming...
obviously excluding political debates, they are a very different animal ;)
